Modern Aminos Review 2026: Is It Legit?

Modern Aminos has sold research peptides, SARMs and amino blends since January 2023 and kept shipping while Amino Asylum, Peptide Sciences and Strate Labs closed. Its story, what long-time buyers say, its independent test record and what to know before ordering.

The last eighteen months thinned out the research peptide market. Amino Asylum went dark in June 2025, Peptide Sciences closed its store in March 2026, Strate Labs announced its closure that May, and Eternal Peptides followed in September. Each closure sent a wave of buyers looking for somewhere new, and a lot of them typed the same question into Google about one of the shops still standing: is Modern Aminos legit?

It is a fair question to ask of any shop, and Modern Aminos has a better answer than most. The store opened in January 2023, came out of the gym-ancillary trade rather than the supplement aisle, and grew into one of the broadest research-chemical shops in the country while bigger names closed around it. What follows is its story, what the people who have bought from it for years say, what the independent testers found, and what to know before a first order.

Where Modern Aminos came from

Modern Aminos opened its doors with a store-opening sale that ran through February 1, 2023. The first shelf was small and telling: semaglutide and tirzepatide at the top, BPC-157 and cerebrolysin beside them, a handful of research chemicals and nootropics, bacteriostatic water, and the product line that gave the shop its name, injectable amino blends. Its stated mission was three short phrases: personal support, research chemicals, community.

The people behind it were not new to the trade. One of the earliest storefront reviews, from the spring of 2023, came from a buyer who said the same supplier had been providing them quality ancillaries for years before the shop existed. That is the background Modern Aminos grew out of: the lifting world, where injectable aminos, HCG and other ancillaries moved person to person long before research-compound storefronts were common. By mid-2023 the menu had added liquids, research oils and melanotan, and the shop ran a private Facebook group for restock news.

Then the GLP wave arrived and carried it. Semaglutide led its customer favorites through 2023, and the reviews on its own storefront grew from about thirty in June 2023 to more than two hundred by March 2024. That spring a buyer in a semaglutide forum noted that Modern Aminos had made a big splash around St. Patrick’s Day. The same season it added capsule versions of MK-677, enclomiphene and RAD-140, which brought in the SARMs crowd that still makes up much of its following. By August 2024 it had a European storefront, and by that autumn the site carried a switch between US, Canadian and EU stores.

What Modern Aminos is known for

Ask a long-time buyer to describe Modern Aminos in one line and the answer is usually some version of its own late-2024 pitch: a one-stop shop. Most peptide stores stay inside one lane. Modern Aminos sells peptides and blends next to SARMs in capsules, nootropics, premixed liquids, amino injectables, topicals, dissolving strips and a full set of the short bioregulator peptides. Fewer than half of its listings are peptides at all. It even sells branded shirts and water bottles, which says something about how many of its customers think of it as their shop rather than a place they happened to order from.

It is also known for being early. In 2024 it was one of the two shops buyers pointed to for SLU-PP-332, and today its shelf carries compounds most stores have not listed yet, from newer weight-research peptides to experimental metabolic molecules. That appetite for the new is a big part of why the forums keep bringing it up.

Its buyers fall into a few camps that rarely overlap anywhere else. The performance crowd came first and still buys the SARMs, enclomiphene and injectable aminos. The GLP crowd arrived in 2023 and stayed. A newer wave came through wellness creators in 2026, drawn by skin and recovery blends and by formats like drops, nasal sprays and capsules.

One habit trips up newcomers. Like a lot of US shops, Modern Aminos sells its weight-research compounds under house names: semaglutide is MA-1S, tirzepatide is MA-2TZ and retatrutide is MA-3RT. Retatrutide kept its own name into 2025, then passed through “GLP-3 RT” and “GLP/GIP/Glucagon” before settling on MA-3RT, and for most of a year the most common question in its threads was simply where the reta went. For anyone searching for it by its market nickname, GLP-3 is the same compound.

The shops it has outlasted

In 2024 Modern Aminos was usually mentioned in the same breath as Amino Asylum. The two were the shops SARMs buyers weighed against each other, they stocked many of the same new compounds, and the buyers comparing them kept singling out Modern Aminos’ customer service. Amino Asylum was the bigger, older name.

On June 17, 2025, Amino Asylum went dark amid raid reports. In the long-running MESO-Rx thread that tracked it, buyers traded notes on where to go next, and one member said they had already been running Modern Aminos and that everything had done its job at a fair price. Three days after Amino Asylum disappeared, the independent tester Finnrick logged its first Modern Aminos sample.

The closures kept coming. Peptide Sciences shut its store on March 6, 2026. Strate Labs, a seven-year-old SARM and enclomiphene shop out of Texas, announced its closure that May, and some of its enclomiphene buyers moved to Modern Aminos over the summer. Eternal Peptides closed in September. Through all of it Modern Aminos kept shipping, apart from a site outage of about a day in November 2025.

Another sign of standing in this market is who borrows the name. A shop called Profound Aminos appeared in 2024, close enough that Modern Aminos now states on its quality page that it has no connection to it. Modified Aminos followed in late 2025, and today its Trustpilot page is the first result Google shows for Modern Aminos reviews. Neither is the same company.

What long-time buyers say

The most useful voices on Modern Aminos are the people with years of orders behind them, and they are easy to find. One buyer had ordered its semaglutide for more than two years and, when it was time to change compounds, wanted to stay with the shop out of trust. Others describe ordering big and small for two years without a problem, powder that mixes clear, and boxes that reach Texas two days after the order. A regular on the performance side called it a fantastic company for amino injectables that had never caused a problem.

The buyers who drift away tend to leave over price, not trust. One who moved to cheaper direct-import group buys in early 2026 said that if money were no object they would still buy everything from Modern Aminos, because they trusted its quality. That is the shop’s market position in one sentence: priced in the middle, with deep holiday sales, and chosen for reliability more than for the lowest number on the page.

The complaints exist and they are worth knowing in proportion. A handful of GLP buyers have said a vial did less than they expected, or that a compound they had used for years stopped doing much, which long-time users usually put down to tolerance rather than the product. One reviewer on its European storefront felt vials ran a little light. A buyer in May 2025 whose package stalled at out-for-delivery found the phone line went to voicemail, while most others describe email replies within a day. Set against nearly four years of repeat orders, none of it adds up to a pattern of lost money or missing packages.

What the independent tests show

Finnrick, the independent tester that runs vendor samples bought by its own team and by buyers, has logged six Modern Aminos samples since June 2025, all retatrutide. Five passed, with purity between 99.75% and 99.9%. One, from July 2025, failed identity: the vial did not contain the compound on the label. That miss is the one blemish worth knowing about, and the record since is clean, with four straight passes from September 2025 to July 2026. Fill has ranged from 4% under the label to 24% over it, and the most recent sample was the overfilled one.

Its Finnrick rating climbed with each pass, from the low 60s after the 2025 failure to 79% today, which places it 114th of the 457 vendors Finnrick ranks. Finnrick’s own summary is fair about the limits: the evidence covers one compound, so it shows a strong recent run on retatrutide rather than proof across the whole shelf.

The shop’s own testing is broader than any outside record. It publishes batch-level reports from several US labs, including Kovera Labs, Vanguard Laboratory and Freedom Diagnostics, with sterility testing from TrustPointe Analytics on its amino blends and premixed liquids. Every vial carries a batch number and a QR code that opens the report for that batch, and new raw material is held in quarantine and sampled across every container before it is released for packing. The report library goes back to late 2024.

September 2026 brought a small test of that system. A buyer who had come over after Strate Labs closed could not find their enclomiphene report on Vanguard’s public verification page and asked whether the report had been faked. They put the question to Vanguard directly, and the lab confirmed the report was genuine; it simply does not post every report it issues. That is the right move for anyone holding a report they want to check, and how to read a peptide COA covers what else on the page is worth a second look.

Ordering from Modern Aminos today

The real store is modernaminos.com, which ships within the United States. European orders go through modernaminos.eu, which carries a different range, and there is a Canadian storefront alongside. Anything else with “Aminos” in the name is a different business.

Speed is one of the things buyers praise most, and the policy backs it up. Since August 2026, weekday orders placed before 4 PM Central leave the same day by FedEx 2Day, FedEx Priority Overnight or UPS. Before that the shop shipped by USPS with a slower estimate, and buyers still reported most boxes landing within a week, often in two or three days. Checkout asks buyers to confirm the usual research-use terms. Cards sometimes decline at checkout; the fix most regulars mention is entering the billing address the card is registered to, and there are other ways to pay.

Returns follow the standard rule for research peptides: nothing goes back for a change of mind, because the shop cannot resell a vial that has left its hands. Damaged, defective or wrong items are replaced or refunded when reported within 14 days with photos. A package the carrier loses without a delivered scan is reshipped free; one marked delivered is treated as delivered, so it pays to check the porch, the mailroom and the neighbors within a day. If tracking sits still for five days, support wants to hear about it.

On reviews, the Trustpilot page at the top of the results belongs to Modified Aminos, not Modern Aminos, whose own Trustpilot page is no longer listed. The most reliable picture comes from buyers with order history, the shop’s batch reports, and the independent test record above.

So, is Modern Aminos legit?

Yes. Modern Aminos is a legitimate shop and one of the steadier names left in the US research market. It has traded since January 2023, grew out of people who were supplying the lifting world before that, and kept shipping through the closures that took Amino Asylum, Peptide Sciences, Strate Labs and Eternal Peptides off the board. Its long-time buyers stay out of trust, the ones who leave mostly leave over price, and its independent record shows one early miss followed by four straight passes at 99.85% purity or better.

A few things are worth knowing before the first order. Buy from modernaminos.com, not a look-alike. Know the house names, so retatrutide is MA-3RT. Scan the QR code on the vial and check that the batch number matches the report, and keep it with your notes. Order what you are sure of, since change-of-mind returns are not accepted. And remember that outside testing so far covers retatrutide only; for everything else on the shelf, the shop’s own batch reports are the evidence, so read them.

For researchers who like to keep a second source on hand, Simms Research is a newer shop out of Florida, with a much shorter history than Modern Aminos, and it posts its batch reports in the Simms Research lab results library.

Frequently asked questions

How long has Modern Aminos been in business?

Since January 2023, when it opened with a launch sale that ran to February 1. That makes it nearly four years old, a long run in a market that has lost so many shops since 2025, and the people behind it were supplying ancillaries to lifters before the store opened.

Where is Modern Aminos located?

Its headquarters is in Garden City, Idaho, and US orders ship domestically from modernaminos.com. European buyers order through modernaminos.eu.

What is retatrutide called on Modern Aminos?

MA-3RT. Tirzepatide is MA-2TZ and semaglutide is MA-1S. Retatrutide has also appeared on the site as “GLP-3 RT” and “GLP/GIP/Glucagon”, so older threads may use those names.

Is Modern Aminos the same company as Strate Labs?

No. Strate Labs was a separate Texas shop that announced its closure on May 29, 2026. The idea of a rebrand spread among Strate customers during the closing sale, but Modern Aminos had been trading under its own name since 2023, years before Strate closed, so it is not a renamed Strate.

Is Modified Aminos the same as Modern Aminos?

No. Modified Aminos is a separate shop that opened in late 2025. Its Trustpilot reviews describe orders from Modified Aminos, not from Modern Aminos.

Can anyone buy from Modern Aminos?

Retail orders go through the normal checkout on modernaminos.com, where buyers confirm research-use terms. Wholesale pricing needs an approved account on its separate wholesale site.

How long does Modern Aminos take to ship?

Weekday orders placed before 4 PM Central ship the same day by FedEx or UPS, and most buyers report delivery in two or three days. Orders placed after the cutoff or on a weekend go out the next business day.
