Is American Peptides Legit? (2026 Review)
American Peptides went from a spring 2026 launch to an Eli Lilly lawsuit in its first year. Here is what its shipping terms, lab reports, prices and policies show before you order.
American Peptides opened in early 2026 out of Shreveport, Louisiana, with a weight-loss line led by retatrutide and a homepage built on promises: lot-matched certificates, seven layers of testing on every batch, same-day shipping on orders in by 2 PM Eastern.
On October 8, Eli Lilly sued it in federal court. The same week, the store’s best-sellers took on new names, retatrutide became AP-RTA-3, and the questions buyers ask about any new shop got sharper. Is American Peptides legit? Will an order placed now still arrive, and does the vial match its paperwork?
The store answers part of that in its policies and certificates. The rest sits in the court record and in what buyers report after the box lands, or doesn’t.
Where is American Peptides located, and who runs it?
The seller is American Peptides LLC, formed in Wyoming in February 2026; a Louisiana company of the same name and a wholesale arm followed in August. Every page lists the same Shreveport address, 9742 St. Vincent Ave, which the contact page calls its shipping facility, along with a 318 number that takes calls and texts.
The catalog is broad, from blends to nasal sprays and dissolving strips. The weight-loss line is the centre of it, and it has changed names twice. In April it was “Retatrutide (Reta)” and “Tirzepatide.” By early October it was RETA-GLP3, TIRZ-GLP2 and SEMA-GLP1. Today it is AP-RTA-3, AP-TRZ-2 and AP-SEM-1, plus AP-MX4, a retatrutide and cagrilintide blend. A line in the footer now reads: “some of our product names may have recently changed.”
The Eli Lilly lawsuit against American Peptides
Eli Lilly, which developed retatrutide, sued American Peptides LLC on October 8, 2026, in federal court in Shreveport. It was one of five sellers Lilly sued that day. The complaint is about retatrutide alone: it quotes the store’s “#1 Research Peptide” listing at $105 and asks the court to stop the company selling anything that contains it, along with damages and profits.
By late October the company had not answered in court, no lawyer had appeared for it, and nothing on its site mentioned the case. The listing stayed up, renamed AP-RTA-3 the same week.
The other sellers sued that day went different ways. LiveWell Peptides’ site went offline two days later, Cenexa Labs pulled every GLP product from its catalog, and a Texas med spa replaced its retatrutide page. From the round Lilly filed in August, Texas Peptides settled, agreeing to stop selling, according to Lilly. For now, AP-RTA-3 is in stock.
Will an American Peptides order show up?
Most of the time, yes, and quickly. Buyers describe FedEx 2-Day labels from Louisiana, boxes in two to five days and lot numbers on the vials that match the certificates online. The staff come up again and again in the good reviews, often by name.
The complaints are a smaller pile with a familiar shape: orders paid for and never scanned by a carrier, a “two-day” box that took five in summer heat, a handful of potency complaints, and support that goes quiet once a problem is raised. Two complaints about getting one vial instead of ten trace back, by support’s account, to listings on a lookalike site.
The review record has its own pattern. Most of the five-star reviews arrived on three days, September 30, October 1 and October 16, largely from accounts that have reviewed nothing else, and the October batch mostly thanks one sales rep. The company has replied to fifteen reviews, every one of them five stars. None of the one- and two-star reviews has an answer.
That alone settles little. Plenty of stores ask happy buyers for reviews in a push, and a burst of praise says nothing about whether a box arrives. The orders do keep moving after the suit: one buyer had a box delivered around October 17, another’s shipped around October 20, and a detailed account from October 20 describes same-day dispatch, delivery in two days and a retatrutide lot that matched its certificate. Two buyers with orders from October 8 and 10 were still waiting at last report.

American Peptides shipping time
Two to three business days in transit is what the homepage promises, by tracked carrier from Shreveport. When the box leaves depends on which page you read.
| Where it’s written | When an order ships |
|---|---|
| Homepage banner | The same day, on orders placed by 2 PM Eastern |
| Product pages | The same business day, on orders placed before 12 PM Central (1 PM Eastern) |
| Shipping policy | “Typically” within 24 to 48 business hours of payment confirmation |
The policy is the version that applies when a package runs late. Read that way, an order placed on a Thursday afternoon can leave on Monday and still be on time. Shipping is domestic only: the store takes no international orders. Free shipping starts at $300, up from $200 in the spring; below that, the fee depends on the speed picked at checkout.

American Peptides COAs and lab testing
This is the store’s strongest page. Each size of the main products links a certificate matched to the lot number on the vial, from an outside lab, dated this summer. The 10 mg retatrutide certificate, issued August 17, 2026, covers identity by mass spectrometry, measured content, purity, endotoxin and heavy metals, and every line passes.
The homepage promises more than that. It describes “seven independent layers of third-party testing” for every batch, and the quality page lists them, sterility testing included, adding that “a vial only ships once it clears all seven.” The retatrutide and tirzepatide certificates each show five results. Neither carries a sterility or microbial result.
One detail works in the buyer’s favour. The store now sells retatrutide as AP-RTA-3, but the certificate still names the sample “Retatrutide 10mg,” and the vial in its photo reads the same. The paperwork says what the code means. Anyone new to these documents can learn how to read a peptide COA in a few minutes.

Lost packages, refunds and support
A broken vial or a wrong product gets replaced. A box that never turns up is a different story.
The refund and shipping policy, in effect since March 8, 2026, makes every sale final once the order leaves the building. Damaged or incorrect items have to be reported within 72 hours of delivery, with the order number and photos, and a verified claim is replaced at no cost. The policy offers a replacement, not money back.
Loss is handled differently. If the carrier marks a package delivered and it isn’t there, the policy tells the buyer to contact the carrier directly. If it goes missing before that, the store will “investigate with the carrier” on the buyer’s behalf. Neither line promises a replacement or a refund, although the homepage describes every shipment as “insured.”
Support runs through a ticket desk, an email address and a Shreveport number that takes calls and texts. The homepage quotes a first reply in under six hours on weekdays; the support page says within one business day. The terms ask buyers to give the company 30 business days to sort out a problem before disputing a charge with their bank.
American Peptides prices and checkout
American Peptides prices sit at the top of the market. AP-RTA-3 costs $105 for 10 mg and $400 for 60 mg; in April the same 10 mg vial listed at $100, and 10 mg of tirzepatide has gone from $85 to $100. Next to Simms Research’s regular prices, the common sizes look like this.
| Compound and size | American Peptides | Simms Research |
|---|---|---|
| Retatrutide, 10 mg | $105 | $84 |
| Retatrutide, 30 mg | $240 | $159 |
| Retatrutide, 60 mg | $400 | $259 |
| Tirzepatide, 10 mg | $100 | $65 |
| Tirzepatide, 30 mg | $240 | $155 |
| Tirzepatide, 60 mg | $390 | $186 |
| Klow blend, 80 mg | $200 | $122 |
| Glow blend, 70 mg | $150 | $96 |
| BPC-157 and TB-500 blend, 20 mg | $195 | $79 |
| NAD+, 500 mg | $100 | $76 |
The store has three ways to bring that down. Subscribe & Save takes up to 15% off and bills the card again on a schedule, typically every 60 days, until the buyer pauses or cancels; with it, 10 mg of AP-RTA-3 comes to $89.25. Bundles run 10% or more off, and active military and first responders get 20% after verifying.
The site asks every visitor to confirm they are 21 or older, the terms list cards, bank transfer and cryptocurrency, and the product page pairs each GLP vial with a $30 bottle of reconstitution solution tagged “Required.”
Simms Research vs American Peptides
Simms Research puts the delivery and the lab record in writing, at lower prices on every size both stores sell. Side by side, on the points above:
| Buyer question | Simms Research | American Peptides |
|---|---|---|
| Dispatch | Same day on orders before 5 PM Eastern, in the written policy | 24 to 48 business hours in the policy; same day by 2 PM Eastern on the banner |
| Lost or stolen package | Covered by the Free Delivery Guarantee: a free replacement or a refund with shipping, and the buyer never files a carrier claim | Delivered-but-missing goes to the carrier; lost in transit is investigated with the carrier |
| Damaged or wrong item | A free replacement, or a refund when none is in stock | Replaced on a verified claim with photos |
| Latest retatrutide report | Endotoxin, heavy metals and a microbial result (no growth) | Endotoxin and heavy metals; no sterility or microbial result |
| Batch record | Every published retatrutide batch since January on one page | The current lot for each size |
| Free shipping | Over $200, by FedEx 2-Day | Over $300 |
| Shipping reach | Every US state plus international addresses | United States only |
Each batch and its certificate sit on the retatrutide batch history page, and the shipping policy and refund policy spell out the rest. Retatrutide (GLP-3) and Tirzepatide (GLP-2) are sold in four sizes, from 10 to 60 mg.
What to check before ordering
Start by matching the code to the compound: AP-RTA-3 is retatrutide, AP-TRZ-2 is tirzepatide and AP-SEM-1 is semaglutide, and the certificate on each product page names the sample plainly.
Time the order for a weekday morning, before noon Central, so the earliest dispatch promise applies. Watch the tracking and send it somewhere it won’t be left on a porch, since a package marked delivered but missing is a claim with the carrier. Photograph the box and vials when they arrive; the 72-hour damage window runs on those photos. If you pick Subscribe & Save, note the next billing date. Other stores get the same checks in the guide on where to buy peptides.
Is American Peptides legit?
American Peptides is a working store. It has a real Shreveport address and phone, posts a lot-matched certificate for each size of its main products, and most buyers get their boxes within a few days, including since the suit.
Here is the rest of the record. Its banner promises same-day dispatch; its policy allows 48 business hours. It advertises seven layers of testing and posts five results. It calls shipments insured, and its policy sends a delivered-but-missing box to the carrier. Free shipping moved from $200 to $300 as prices rose. Its weight-loss line has carried three sets of names since spring, the last arriving the week Eli Lilly sued over retatrutide, a case it has not answered. Its praise came mostly in three bursts, and its replies go only to five-star reviews.
None of that makes a vial from americanpeptides.us bad; its certificates read well. It means the store promises more than it puts in writing. Whether that adds up to legit is your call.
