Selank is a seven-amino-acid peptide, Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro: tuftsin, a small immune peptide, with a three-amino-acid tail added so it survives long enough to act. Russia licenses it as 0.15% nasal drops for anxiety and stress, and research knows it as the calming half of the Semax and Selank pair. Doses are counted in micrograms, so a single vial holds weeks of draws.

500mcg, a 10-unit draw, is the dose most injectable protocols settle on, after two weeks at 250 to 300mcg. Selank 10mg reconstitution: how much bac water

2mL, the same amount the reconstitution guide gives every 10mg vial in this range. That makes each unit 50mcg and each 10 units 500mcg, the scale the chart above is built on.

Trickle the water down the glass wall so it collects under the powder instead of striking it, and swirl instead of shaking. Selank dissolves almost at once, and a finished vial looks like it holds plain water. From mixing day on it belongs in the refrigerator, with the date marked on it.

How much Selank per day, and how often

250 to 500mcg once a day on injectable protocols. The common pattern starts on 250 to 300mcg for two weeks and then steps up to 400 to 500mcg, with the same amount for men and women and no scaling by body weight. Some protocols split the day in two, a morning and an afternoon draw of 5 units each for a 500mcg day.

The other camp injects 1mg, 20 units, two or three times a week. That adds up to 2 to 3mg a week, close to the 1.75 to 3.5mg the daily schedule reaches, just in fewer, larger draws. The licensed nasal regimen runs differently again: three sittings a day, 900mcg in total. Selank is gone from the blood within minutes, with the Russian label putting the fall in plasma levels at about five minutes, yet its effects in the studies lasted for days, which is why a single daily draw is enough for most injectable protocols.

Selank morning or night

Either works. Selank calms without sedating: the 2008 trial against medazepam found a mild stimulating, anti-fatigue effect (Zozulia, Zhurnal Nevrologii i Psikhiatrii imeni S.S. Korsakova, 2008) where the benzodiazepine brought drowsiness, and the Russian label states it does not affect driving. The same label spreads its three sittings from morning to evening and lists sleep problems among the conditions it covers. Protocols aimed at daytime stress draw in the morning; those aimed at evening stress or sleep move a draw to the evening.

Selank nasal spray dosage

Two drops of the 0.15% solution per nostril, three sittings a day, over a 14-day course: that is the licensed Russian regimen. With a standard 0.05mL drop, each sitting delivers 300mcg and the day 900mcg. The human anxiety studies used drops too, and one 2012 study ran higher, at 2,700mcg a day in three sittings of 900mcg.

The 2mL injectable mix is too strong to drip as it is. At 5mg per mL it is more than three times the label strength, and a single drop carries 250mcg. Nasal protocols dissolve the vial the usual way, then bring a measured share of it up to 1.5mg per mL in a clean dropper or spray bottle. Selank protocol and cycle length

14 days on the licensed nasal regimen, with a one-to-three-week pause before any repeat. Injectable protocols run longer blocks: four weeks of daily draws and then four weeks off is the most common, and the twice- or three-times-weekly 1mg schedule usually runs eight weeks on, eight off.

The breaks are a habit carried over from other compounds more than a need the research shows. The Russian label states that Selank causes no dependence or habituation, and rats given a Selank injection every day for four weeks were calmer from the second day through the last, with no sign of the effect fading (Czabak-Garbacz, Pharmacological Reports, 2006).

How long does a 10mg vial of Selank last?

20 days at 500mcg a day, and about 11 days on the nasal label regimen:

A mixed vial is good for 28 days refrigerated, so on the lightest schedules the calendar retires it before the powder runs out. A full 14-day nasal course takes 12.6mg, just over one vial, and a four-week injectable block takes one vial at 250mcg a day or two at 500mcg.

How long Selank takes to work

Within days for many, and by two weeks for most, in the human research. In a 2012 study of 20 people with generalized anxiety given 2,700mcg a day nasally, 40% improved sharply in the first one to three days, with their Hamilton anxiety scores falling from about 20 to 7 by day 3. The other 60% improved steadily and reached a similar point by day 14, the length of the licensed course.

How long Selank lasts

In the blood, only minutes: it appears within 30 seconds of a nasal dose and tissue enzymes break it down almost as quickly. The effect runs far longer than the peptide does. In a 2014 study of 60 patients comparing Selank with the benzodiazepine phenazepam, the anti-anxiety effect held for a week after the last dose.

Is Selank safe?

On the published record, yes. Its Russian label lists two side effects, a bad taste if drops trickle into the throat and the allergic reaction possible with any medicine, records no overdose, and states that Selank causes no dependence or habituation.

The human data comes mostly from anxiety patients: 62 in the 2008 trial against medazepam, 60 in the 2014 comparison with phenazepam, and 70 in a 2015 study where 40 took Selank alongside phenazepam. In that last study, adding Selank reduced the benzodiazepine’s own side effects, among them sedation, poor concentration and memory, and they stayed lower after phenazepam was stopped (Medvedev, Zhurnal Nevrologii i Psikhiatrii imeni S.S. Korsakova, 2015). Injectable protocols add little beyond a brief sting where the draw goes in.

Selank purity and content by batch

Both published Selank batches measured above their 10mg label. The latest was tested by an independent ISO-certified lab in July 2026, with three vials weighed and run one by one:

LC-MS confirmed it as Selank, and every contaminant screen was clean: endotoxins inside the limit, no arsenic, cadmium, lead or mercury detected, and a sterility culture that grew nothing.
