Is Onyx Research Legit? 2026 Review
What Onyx Research's certificates, shipping terms, prices and refund policy show before you order, from its under-label lab reports to the lost-parcel rules.
Onyx Research opened at onyxresearch.shop in the summer of 2025 with a short catalog, a retatrutide listing called “GLP-3 Reta” and a banner promising same-day shipping. A year later its catalog runs from GLP vials to capsules, with a certificate lookup for nearly every peptide, a Florida address and email-only support.
Its quality page promises “seven checks on every lot,” heavy metals among them, and none of its 29 published certificates shows a heavy-metal or microbial result. Does the box arrive, what does the paperwork show, and who pays when a parcel goes missing?
Do Onyx Research orders arrive?
Most do, and quickly. Buyers this October describe fast, on-time deliveries, vials that arrived in good condition and repeat orders placed without trouble. One regular adds that the prices run higher than elsewhere and that it pays to wait for one of the frequent sales.
The complaints are fewer and share a pattern. One buyer’s order from October 12 had no tracking sixteen days later. Another received the wrong product, damaged. A third, outside the US, watched a parcel go back to the sender while the order showed as complete. In each case the buyer says the support emails went unanswered.
That last one has a history. From February to May 2026 the site banner offered “free same-day worldwide shipping” over $250. The policy now ships to US addresses only, and the banner is gone.

Onyx Research shipping time
Two business days by FedEx is the promise on the product pages, with a same-day countdown above the price. How soon a box leaves depends on the page.
| Page | Dispatch promise |
|---|---|
| Product pages | “Order within today to ship today,” FedEx 2-Day |
| Homepage | The same business day, for in-stock orders |
| Shipping policy | The same or next business day, with no cutoff time given; 2–4 business days in transit |
| FAQ page | Within 1–2 business days for most orders |
The written policy is the one a late parcel is measured against, and it says two more things. Delivery takes two to four business days after dispatch, and once the box is handed over, “responsibility for delivery lies with the carrier.” The free-shipping line sits at $250 today; in August 2025 it was $149.99. Below it, the rate appears at checkout.

Is Onyx Research third-party tested?
Yes, and the certificates are easy to find. Nearly every peptide links one from an outside US lab, a certificate per size, naming Onyx Research as the client and giving a lot number plus a search code for the lab’s own site. Nearly all show identity by mass spectrometry, purity by HPLC, net content and two endotoxin results, and the purity figures are high across the board.
The store promises more than that. Its quality page lists “seven checks on every lot,” heavy metals among them. None of the 29 certificates published carries a heavy-metal result, and none shows a microbial or sterility test.
The top listing has a gap of its own. GLP-3 RT, the listing called “GLP-3 Reta” in 2025, is never named as a compound. Its certificate’s identity line reads “GLP RT,” and its product page gives a molecular weight of about 6,758, where retatrutide’s is about 4,731. What Is GLP-3? maps the research-market names to their compounds.
Four certificates also read under the label. The widest gap is DSIP, at 4.70 mg in a 5 mg vial; epithalon came in at 9.59 mg and cagrilintide at 9.49 mg, both sold as 10 mg. What each line on a certificate does and doesn’t prove is set out in How to Read a Peptide Certificate of Analysis.
Onyx Research prices and discount codes
Onyx Research prices sit at the upper end on the common sizes, softened by sales that come often. A 10% sale runs sitewide right now, taking the 10 mg GLP-3 RT from $105 to $94.50; the same vial showed $85 in February and $99 in May. Buying more cuts it further: 8% off two vials, 15% off three, and a box of ten with a BOGO50 code already applied. Set against Simms Research, regular price to regular price:
| Compound and size | Onyx Research | Simms Research |
|---|---|---|
| Retatrutide (GLP-3 RT at Onyx), 10 mg | $105 | $84 |
| Retatrutide, 30 mg | $210 | $159 |
| Tirzepatide (GLP2-TZ at Onyx), 10 mg | $90 | $65 |
| GHK-Cu, 50 mg | $50 | $48 |
| Glow blend, 70 mg | $125 | $96 |
| Wolverine blend | $85 for 10 mg | $79 for 20 mg |
| DSIP | $50 for 5 mg | $71 for 10 mg |
| Ipamorelin, 10 mg | $90 | $74 |
| Epithalon, 10 mg | $55 | $59 |
Checkout takes cards, PayPal, Zelle and Bitcoin, according to the store’s FAQ, and the shipping fee below $250 is added at that point.
Lost packages, refunds and support
A damaged, defective or wrong item has to reach support inside 48 hours, with photos, and support then decides whether it qualifies for a replacement. Money back is kept for two cases: an order never delivered “due to an error on our part,” or a valid claim with no replacement to send.
A lost or stolen parcel fits neither. Once the box ships, the policy hands delivery to the carrier, so a parcel marked delivered and missing falls to the buyer to chase. Support is by email only, with no phone line, and the research-use terms ask every buyer to send in at least one study a year.
Simms Research vs Onyx Research
Simms Research covers the parcel all the way to the door and posts contaminant results on its latest batches, at lower prices on most of the sizes above. On the points just covered:
| Buyer question | Simms Research | Onyx Research |
|---|---|---|
| Dispatch | Orders in by 5 PM Eastern leave that day | Same or next business day, with no cutoff time in the policy |
| Lost or stolen parcel | Free Delivery Guarantee: a new parcel or a refund including shipping, with nothing for the buyer to file | The carrier’s responsibility once shipped |
| Damaged or wrong item | Replaced free of charge; refunded if none is in stock | A replacement if support finds the claim eligible |
| Latest DSIP report | 10.82 mg in a 10 mg vial; heavy metals negative, no microbial growth | 4.70 mg in a 5 mg vial; no heavy-metal or microbial result |
| Retatrutide | Named retatrutide on the product and lab pages, 10 to 60 mg | Sold as GLP-3 RT; the certificate’s identity line reads “GLP RT” |
| Phone support | 855-592-8507, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern | Email only |
| Delivery area | Every US state plus international addresses | US addresses only |
| Free shipping | FedEx 2-Day free above $200 | Above $250 |
The DSIP batch history and retatrutide batch history pages hold each batch on record, certificate attached, and the delivery terms sit in the shipping policy and the refund policy. Retatrutide (GLP-3), DSIP and Epithalon are in stock in the sizes above.
Onyx Research reviews
The store’s Trustpilot page has a long list of reviews and no score. Where the rating should be, a notice says it is unavailable “due to a breach of our guidelines,” and that Trustpilot has “removed a number of fake reviews for this company.” None of the newest reviews carries the site’s verified label.
That settles less than it seems. Stores nudge happy buyers toward review sites all the time, and a pulled batch of reviews says nothing about the next box. The ones still standing match the order record above.

Before you order from Onyx Research
Price the full cart first, since the shipping fee under $250 appears only at checkout and the running sale changes the totals.
When the box lands, match the lot on each vial to its certificate in the lookup and photograph the contents inside 48 hours, the window for a damage claim. Watch the tracking closely, because once the parcel leaves the store a missing box is a matter for the carrier. The same checks rank the best peptide companies.
Is Onyx Research legit?
Onyx Research is a real, working store at onyxresearch.shop. Most orders arrive quickly, and nearly every peptide comes with a certificate from an outside lab that a buyer can look up.
The rest of the record is thinner. Its pages promise seven checks per lot, and the certificates show no heavy metals. Its GLP-3 RT is never named as a compound, and four certificates read under the label. The free-shipping bar rose from $149.99 to $250, a worldwide offer came and went, a lost parcel is left to the carrier, support is email only, and its Trustpilot page notes removed fake reviews.
That doesn’t make an Onyx vial a bad one. It means more of the risk sits with the buyer than the homepage suggests. Whether it clears your own bar is up to you.
