What happened to Apex Peptides?

On the morning of Wednesday, September 23, 2026, federal agents searched the building at 503 Prosperity Way in North Sioux City, South Dakota, the address the Better Business Bureau lists for Apex Peptides. A home in nearby Dakota Dunes linked to the Apex businesses was searched at the same time. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service led the operation, joined by agents from the FBI’s Omaha and Minneapolis offices, IRS Criminal Investigation, the Union County Sheriff’s Office and North Sioux City Police.

More than a dozen marked and unmarked vehicles pulled up to the building around 10 a.m., according to KTIV. Agents brought industrial clippers, evidence bags, totes and a U-Haul trailer. Around noon they stopped a UPS delivery to the building and unloaded it straight into the trailer. Reporters watched papers, boxes and a tote of small packaged items come out, and the search wrapped up shortly after 4 p.m. At the Dakota Dunes home, postal inspectors carried out bags and boxes between about 9 a.m. and noon.

The building’s main tenant is Apex Waste Management, one of a group of Apex-branded companies that share addresses and officers with Apex Peptides. Three days later, the Apex Peptides website shows only a maintenance notice, and the company has made no public statement.

Did the FBI raid Apex Peptides?

FBI agents from Omaha and Minneapolis took part, but the investigation is led by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, out of Minneapolis, with IRS Criminal Investigation also on site. The Postal Inspection Service enforces more than 200 federal laws covering crimes that use the mail, including illegal drugs and mail fraud. IRS Criminal Investigation works financial cases such as tax evasion and money laundering.

Federal authorities have not said what the investigation is about, and they have not publicly tied it to peptides. No search-warrant affidavit, criminal complaint or indictment has been made public, and investigators have declined to say what they seized.

Was anyone arrested?

KSCJ radio reported that two people were led away in handcuffs during the search. Neither was named, and no charges were announced. The other local outlets covering the search reported no arrests, and as of September 26, 2026, no one has been publicly charged. A search warrant lets agents collect evidence; it is not a charge.

Is Apex Peptides shut down?

The storefront at apexpeptides.com now shows only a maintenance notice, “Maintanance | Technical break,” repeated in ten languages, and it tells search engines not to index the page. The day after the search, KCAU found the site marked temporarily closed with most products removed. Calls to the business went unanswered, KTIV reported, while staff at Apex Waste Management were at work on Thursday and asked a reporter to leave.

Apex has not said whether the store will reopen, whether paid orders will ship or how refunds will be handled.

What happens to Apex Peptides orders?

Apex’s terms rule out returns. Refunds are at the company’s discretion for damaged, defective or incorrect items and are processed within 10 business days of approval. The only contact the site lists is fit@apexpeptides.com.

For an order that was paid for and never shipped, the card issuer is the practical route: card networks accept disputes for goods not received, usually within 120 days of the expected delivery date. The order confirmation email and any messages with Apex are the evidence the issuer asks for.

For vials already on hand, Apex published no batch reports, so there is no record to match a vial against. Independent peptide labs test single vials for identity, purity and content.

Who is behind Apex Peptides?

Apex Peptides is one of more than a dozen Apex-named companies around Sioux City, where Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota meet. The apexpeptides.com address was registered in April 2024, and state records show Apex Peptides LLC registered to do business in Iowa in November 2024 as a South Dakota company. The Better Business Bureau lists it as a vitamins and supplements business at 503 Prosperity Way, with no rating.

State filings tie Apex Waste Management, Apex Rx, Apex Assure, Apex Cosmetics, Apex Outdoor Pros and Apex Threadhaus & Ink to the same building. Apex Peptides, Apex Waste Management and Apex Research list a building in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, as their primary address. Five more Apex companies, formed between April and September 2026, are registered at 498 Prosperity Way, a building KTIV found still under construction.

Several other peptide stores use the Apex name on different web addresses. None of them appears in the reporting on the search, which concerns the Siouxland company at apexpeptides.com.

What did Apex Peptides sell?

The store’s product data, still readable behind the maintenance page, lists 29 products. The weight-loss line was the most expensive: semaglutide as “GLP-1 S” (5mg, $200), tirzepatide as “GLP-1 T” (10mg, $300) and retatrutide as “GLP-1 R” (12mg, $350). The rest of the catalog covered BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, MOTS-c, NAD+, KPV, DSIP, Semax, ipamorelin, tesamorelin, IGF-1 LR3, PT-141, Melanotan II, HCG, oxytocin, follistatin, BDNF, LL-37, a thymosin alpha-1 blend, tesofensine capsules and several growth-hormone blends. A separate page resold Thorne supplements.

Apex offered free shipping on orders over $300 and said orders shipped the next business day. Its terms say it shipped domestically and internationally, that international orders were “placed at the buyer’s risk,” and that it was not responsible for “customs seizures, shipment delays, or lost packages.”

What Apex buyers could check before ordering

None of the 29 Apex product pages carries a lab report, a purity figure, a batch number or the name of a testing lab. The home page describes a “WHO/GMP and ISO 9001:2008 approved facility” and “100% Made in the USA” without naming the facility. ISO 9001:2008 was replaced by ISO 9001:2015, and certificates to the 2008 version expired in September 2018.

The terms of service, dated September 2024, say disputes are governed by “the laws of [Your Jurisdiction]”, a template placeholder that was never filled in.

Those are the details worth checking on any supplier: a lab report tied to the batch in the vial, the lab that ran it, what was tested beyond purity, and a business that says where it operates.

Frequently asked questions

Was Apex Peptides raided because of peptides?

Authorities have not said. The Postal Inspection Service, which handles crimes that use the mail, is leading the case, and no public filing gives a reason for the search.

What did federal agents take from Apex?

No inventory has been released. Reporters saw agents remove papers, boxes and a tote of small packaged items, and unload a UPS delivery into their trailer. At the Dakota Dunes home, inspectors carried out bags and boxes.

Is apexpeptides.com coming back?

Apex has not said. As of September 26, 2026, the site shows only a maintenance notice.

Are other stores named Apex part of this?

None of them appears in the reporting. The search concerns the Apex companies in North Sioux City, South Dakota, and Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and the store at apexpeptides.com.

Has this happened to other peptide suppliers?

Yes. On July 30, 2026, the owner of Paradigm Peptides was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison for selling unapproved drugs. Prosecutors said the company marketed its products as made in America while importing them from China, India and other countries. Peptide Sciences closed in March 2026, and Amino Asylum shut down after a 2025 federal raid on its warehouse.
